chapter 1

THE 1st COMING OF CHRIST

THE bright morning star

In the 3rd year BC, a bright morning star guides three wise men to Bethlehem so that they may offer gifts and praise to the King of Kings.

Three Wise Men
Signs in the Heavens

For it is written: "Now a great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a garland of twelve stars.  Then being with child, she cried out in labor and in pain to give birth. And another sign appeared in heaven: behold, a great, fiery red dragon having seven heads and ten horns, and seven diadems on his heads. His tail drew a third of the stars of heaven and threw them to the earth. And the dragon stood before the woman who was ready to give birth, to devour her Child as soon as it was born. She bore a male Child who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron." Revelation 12:1-5

THE KING IS BORN

On the 11th day of the 9th month in year 3 BC, the long awaiting savior is born to a virgin in Bethlehem. His name is Yeshua in Hebrew and he is known as Jesus in Greek, the Son of God.

The Virgin Mary and Jesus

And the Word of the Lord is fulfilled in the Virgin Mary:

"Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, a virgin will be with child and bear a son, and she will call His name Immanuel" Isaiah 7:14

And no other woman in the history of man is regarded as the virgin who gave birth to a son... who is also regarded as the Christ, the Messiah, the Prince of Peace, who is one with the Father as God the Son, and one with The Holy Spirit... our Wonderful Counselor.

Roman Empire

And the 6th Kingdom of the Beast of the Sea occupied the land of Jacob's descendants that was given by The Almighty God.

For it is written: “They are also seven kings. Five have fallen, one is, ( Rome )  the other has not yet come” Revelation 17:10

A cry FROM THE WILDERNESS

In the year of our Lord 27, John the Baptist is preaching repentance and baptizing people in the Jordan River. He is asked if he is the Messiah or Elijah. He tells them that he is the voice of one crying in the wilderness, preparing the way for the Lord.

THE LAMB OF GOD IS BAPTIZED

After a few days, Jesus of Nazareth arrives at the Jordon River. John the Baptist cries out “Here comes the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world.” John 1:29

Jesus is Baptized

John the Baptist then baptizes Jesus of Nazareth and heaven opens and The holy Spirit descended like a dove. And the voice of the Father was heard by many saying “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.” Matthew 3:17

THE SEED OF THE WOMAN

After being baptized, Jesus of Nazareth was led by The Holy Spirt into the wilderness to fast for 40 days and 40 nights.

On the 40th day, Jesus felt weak and the adversary came to tempt Jesus to no avail. And then an intense fear came over the Nachash, for the serpent knew this was the one who was promised to crush his head.

THE CALLING OF TWELVE

In year of our Lord 27, Jesus of Nazareth calls twelve disciples and said unto them, “Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.” Matthew 4:1

Their names are Simon Peter, and Andrew his brother; James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother; Philip and Bartholomew; Thomas and Matthew; James the son of Alphaeus, and Thaddaeus; Simon the Zealot, and Judas Iscariot. And so the twelve followed Jesus and the training for their ministry begins.

Teacher OF PARABLES

In the year of our Lord 28, Jesus of Nazareth taught the people in parables but many with hard hearts did not understand. There were those who believed in the moment but lost faith when tried and yet there was few who multiplied the works of their faith to a hundred fold.

Thus fulfilling the Word of the LORD:

“Go, and tell this people: ‘Keep on hearing, but do not understand; Keep on seeing, but do not perceive.’ Make the heart of this people dull, and their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, And understand with their heart, And return and be healed.” Isaiah 6:9

SIGNS AND HEALINGS

Between the years of our Lord 27 to 32, Jesus healed many; fulfilling the words of the prophets about the Messiah.

And Jesus quoted the prophet saying “The blind see and the lame walk the lepers are cleansed and the deaf hear; the dead are raised up and the poor have the gospel preached to them. And blessed is he who is not offended because of Me” and thus fulfilling Isaiah 35:5

THE TRIUMPHAL ENTRY

On the 1st day of the 4th month in the year of our Lord 32. Jesus of Nazareth enters Jerusalem riding a donkey and the crowds took branches of palm trees and went out to meet him, crying out, “Hosanna! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord, even the King of Israel!”

For the Word of the LORD is fulfilled:

“Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion! Shout, O daughter of Jerusalem! Behold, thy King cometh unto thee! He is just and having salvation, lowly, and riding upon an ass and upon a colt, the foal of an ass.” Zechariah 9:9

For the Word of the LORD is fulfilled to the exact day by Daniel the Prophet.

A ZEAL FOR GOD's HOUSE

On the 2nd day of the 4th month in the year of our Lord 32. Jesus Christ of Nazareth enters the temple grounds, His righteous anger is stoked by those using the temple as a place of commerce and trade. He flips over the money tables and takes a whip to clear out the temple grounds.

Thus fulfilling the Word of the Lord as written by David:

“Because zeal for Your house has eaten me up, and the reproaches of those who reproach You have fallen on me.” Psalm 69:9

Jesus clears the Temple

The religious rulers and Chief Priest were enraged by the actions of Jesus of Nazareth and so they purposed in their hearts to kill him.

THE GARDEN OF GETHSEMANE

The Lord Jesus Christ is betrayed by Judas Iscariot for thirty pieces of silver. Judas leads temple guards to arrest the Lord or Lord’s and all the disciples flee.

Thus the Word of the LORD is fulfilled:

“Then I said to them, “If it is agreeable to you, give me my wages; and if not, refrain.” So they weighed out for my wages thirty pieces of silver. And the Lord said to me, “Throw it to the potter”—that princely price they set on me.” Zechariah 11:12

Page 12

THE FALSE TRIALS

Jesus was accused of healing on the Sabbath, being a friend of sinners, and for claiming to be the begotten God the Son. And yet he did not speak to defend himself.

Thus fulfilling the Word of the Lord:

“He was oppressed and He was afflicted, Yet He opened not His mouth; He was led as a lamb to the slaughter, And as a sheep before its shearers is silent, so He opened not His mouth.” Isaiah 53:7

THE SCOURGING OF CHRIST

Christ beaten for our sins

Upon noticing that Jesus had an expensive tunic; the roman guards gambled for His clothing. Thus fulfilling the Word of the Lord by King David: “They divide My garments among them, and for My clothing they cast lots." Psalm 22:18

THE CRUCIFIXION

On the 6th day of the 4th month in the year of our Lord 32, at the sixth hour until the ninth hour; darkness covered over all the land. Around the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying, “My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?”

Thus fulfilling the Word of the Lord as written by King David in Psalm 22

The Cross

Psalm 22

My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me? Why are You so far from helping Me, And from the words of My groaning?....

. All those who see Me ridicule Me; They shoot out the lip, they shake the head, saying, “He trusted in the Lord, let Him rescue Him; Let Him deliver Him, since He delights in Him!” But You are He who took Me out of the womb; You made Me trust while on My mother’s breasts. I was cast upon You from birth. From My mother’s womb You have been My God. Be not far from Me, For trouble is near;
For there is none to help.

Many bulls have surrounded Me; Strong bulls of Bashan have encircled Me. They gape at Me with their mouths, Like a raging and roaring lion. I am poured out like water,

And all My bones are out of joint; My heart is like wax; It has melted [within Me. My strength is dried up like a potsherd, And My tongue clings to My jaws; You have brought Me to the dust of death. For dogs have surrounded Me; The congregation of the wicked has enclosed Me. They pierced My hands and My feet; I can count all My bones. They look and stare at Me. They divide My garments among them, And for My clothing they cast lots.

Written by David in 980 BC

"After this, Jesus, knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the Scripture might be fulfilled, said, “I thirst!” Now a vessel full of sour wine was sitting there; and they filled a sponge with sour wine, put it on hyssop, and put it to His mouth. So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit." John 19:28

Jesus arrives in Hades and declares the Gospel to those resting in Abraham's Bosom so that the captives might be freed, and they may join their Lord God in Heaven.

THE BURIAL OF the Christ

Following the crucifixion of Jesus, Joseph of Arimathea asked Pontius Pilate for the body of Jesus. After receiving permission, he removed Jesus' body from the cross, wrapped it in a clean linen shroud, and laid it in his own expensive tomb that was hewn in the rock of a garden.

THE RESURRECTION

On the 9th day of the 4th month in the year of our Lord 32, behold the stone is rolled away, for the grave could not hold Him.

The Lord Jesus Christ is resurrected and He defeats the power of death and Hell. And a great fear fell over the Dragon, the principalities, powers, the rulers of the darkness of this age… for they know their time is short.

Peter and Jesus

Jesus focuses in on Peter. As he denied Jesus three times; The Lord ask Peter three times if He is loved by him. The Lord instructs Peter to “Feed my sheep” and restores his place with the disciples.

Jesus APPEARS TO MANY

For 40 days The Lord Jesus Christ reveals Himself to loving eyes only and over 500 believers see Him.

For it is written in the Book of Acts:

"Jesus also presented Himself alive after His suffering by many infallible proofs, being seen by them during forty days and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God." Acts 1:3
